I have re-worked our concept map, included the suggested additions, categorized the stages of the project, and reorganized it. Let me know what you think of this draft! I will gladly make any changes (additions, deletions, etc.) as you see fit.
*One thing I was unsure of was how many days we were providing for students to do each component. I know we decided on four days of research, but beyond that I wasn't sure. For student planning of the event, prop/artifact creation, and costume creation, how much time should we permit?
*Did we want to include a piece on summative assessment?
It looks fantastic! We could wait to add time allotments until the next revision because by then we will be doing assignments and activities related to determine that I assume? You could leave the one there that you have written in and could just leave a branch of "Time Alottment" but not put a time in for now at least?
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea, Taylor!
DeleteI made Taylor's suggested edit. Amanda, do you see anything that needs to be added/changed?
ReplyDeleteI have another suggestion that we could or could not do - it is just a formatting thing. You could enlarge the font of the primary branches off of the center big project to draw attention to them. Does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteI did attempt to do that, and they are slightly bigger than the center bubble right now. I can make it more prominent!
DeleteIt looks good! Thank you Bethany!
DeleteThe only things I would consider after looking at it again, is under technology,is adding youtube. In my original lesson plan they used a YouTube video to instructor others on how to secure a venue and write a letter of intent. May daughter's kindergarten class does kids youtube book reports for their classmates and link them to QR codes inside the book they did the report on to watch later. Under field trips, maybe they would take a field trip to the home of the historical figure, if available, or the place where the significant event occurred to really try and "put themselves in their shoes", place themselves back in time. Under where's the event, maybe add securing the venue as a bubble and stemming from it put email, phone, letter? Sorry, I'm one of those people who tries not to look at something too many times or I'll attempt to tweak it passed the point of no return.
ReplyDeleteAll of your suggestions make sense! I will make those changes :) thanks Amanda!
DeleteThanks Bethany!
